Founded in Baakline in 1957, the Shouf National College is a non-sectarian, non-profit institution, which operates under the direction and supervision of a Board of Trustees that include a number of university professors and educators amongst its members. The college is a model school providing high-level education to males and females from Kindergarten, to the Lebanese Baccalaureate, in the English section, and from the Maternelle to the French Baccalaureate, in the French Section.
The College prides itself on its elevated academic standards as well its strong ethical principles. It also highlights the importance of developing students' personalities, along with raising their awareness to their social and national responsibilities. Moreover, the College encourages student extracurricular activities as a way of developing physical, social, cultural, and moral lives.
